A bit about me and why I chose Usana…………

I always thought that I led a pretty healthy lifestyle. I tried to eat a balanced diet, exercised, didn't smoke and had the odd tipple or two of alcohol at social occasions which was why it came as a huge shock when I was diagnosed with Squamous Cell Carcinoma (mouth cancer) at the age of 31.

A friend insisted that I go and see her doctor who specialised in nutrition and after substantial blood test he told me that I was completely depleted of all antioxidants and minerals.  I questioned how that could be when I had always tried to maintain a healthy diet and had converted to eating organic produce as far as possible.

The doctor explained to me that the food we consume these days unfortunately, does not contain the amount of vitamins and minerals it did 50 or 60 years ago so even though we think we may be getting everything we need from our food, the majority of us aren't and on top of that we are faced with far more free radical damage such as stress, pollution, radiation from the sun and chemicals in the water.  He prescribed the appropriate supplements and explain that I shouldn't go and buy these off the shelf in a store as often what you think you are buying isn't actually what you are getting quality wise.

It was around a month into taking these supplements that I was introduced to Usana and after doing a thorough comparison between the supplements I was prescribed and Usana I found Usana's HealthPak 100 to be of better quality and value than the ones that the doctor had prescribed.

The rest, as they say, is history.  Since taking Usana’s products I feel healthier than ever, I have more energy and I sacked my boss.
